Independence Day Video

Today I celebrated my first turkey's independence day. Sure saw a lot of flags in the city. And the damn car horns! I think the horn is the most important thing on a car here. I bet luxury cars promote themselves with megaloud horns. gosh they can be a pain in the rear, but I guess there's worst. I ran into a pole and almost crushed my nuts. Never a dull moment here in Istanbul...never at all.

I think my feet are going to go on strike if I don't get some new shoes that are actually strong enough for my duck feet. Yes indeed, I have flat feet and ppl laugh at me for it. But I stay positive about it. I figure that I have better balance. :-)

These are some pics from last Friday. With some classmates, we walked through the biggest basar (market) where you could buy just about any souvenir you need. It reminded me of China a bit, except for the prices. It seems that sellers start at higher prices here. I'll have to see what I can do. Hey mom, did dad show you the picture of me standing in front of the golden store? I think he's afraid that you'll get some ideas $$$!

One of the pics is my london-pal Augusta. She's like a celebrity in this city. At least 3 groups of strangers took pictures with her. Is it b/c she's black? haha I was jealous.
