my writing drug, rain drops

Recently I've been working on a new gig at work to write four product summaries. Cool assignment, but funny when thinking about expectations versus how things ran in the past. If I remember correctly, earlier efforts to accomplish the same task took the team 2-3 months. I was given 2 weeks to deliver drafts of all four.

Rain drops, no dubstep

I've tried writing to all types of music.  Even found "Concentration Music" on Spotify....which wasn't so bad. But for some amazing reason, the rain mixed with the dim lights really helped me focus and churn out some paper content.  I was able to finish earlier than anticipated, that I even made a little video to capture the sound....while trying to be a bit of an artsy. I'm definitely no Van Gogh. note to self: save the dubstep for weekends

Good morning music Monday

If you're into sounds and electronic, maybe you might like this one:

I really like it once it gets to about 1:50.....if anything fast forward to this part and get ur chair groove on for 5 mins.  Bounce your head to left and to the right with caution....don't want to hit your neighbors!

Free Album Download: Dead Kids indie rock

A puurrrty friend of mine introduced me the band, Dead Kids, that's giving away a free cd on http://deadkids.bandcamp.com/

The name might sound strange, but the music is cool if you like the indi-rock scene.

My favorite song is America http://deadkids.bandcamp.com/track/america because it has a French speaking dude who mentions a body builder who eats burgers.....yes, I love burgers and let it be known as a secret to sexy body sculpting.  Just hold the catchup

House entering the hip hop space

Back when I was too young to enter a rated-R movie by myself....ahem, I still think this rule is lame....my dearest friend Angela and I would debate about the best music around.  I was like Two-face from Batman; either I was headbanging to hard rock like Korn or attempting to body roll to rap...and for some reason rap stuck more.  Angela on the other hand was a raving Techno fan calling it the music of the future....and no she wasn't a smoker :)

Well little did we know that Techno already existed in most of the world.  After living in Europe for a while I've learned to classify it based on genres like house, electro, drum, craziness, .etc.  Angela used to argue that techno would become the popular music as we grew older, but I rejected it.  I argued that Techno lacked a verbal message, something that I feel makes a song so trendy-poppy.

But it seems like there's a mix nowadays....and I like it a lot! So who won the debate? Well I don't care, but I just want to get up and dance.
