Prince's Island Pics

What a beautiful place! Prince's island is my favorite place that i've seen so far in Istanbul. No horns, no cars, no ppl yelling..except for the guy that yells out of the mosque everyday. Scenery was beautiful, a bit too smelly at times (horses), but I got to enjoy 2 of my 3 favorite things in Turkey: 1. green apples and 2. Cin (the wonderful cookie that I discovered from Teuta! That was a great day :-)

thanks Burcu for taking us. So nice to get out of the busy city and get in touch with my not-having-to-dodge-cars side! :-)

What the hell happened to the weather? After one day of raining frozen meatballs, which killed my electricity for about 45 mins errrrr, this city feels almost like ice! Maybe i'm exaggerating, but I'm friggin cold! Now, I'm wearing my winter hat, or better known as a condom since my it makes my head look like one. One of the disadvantages of having "short" hair! Mother nature must be telling me to live in the tropics.

Today I enjoyed a nice 5-6 hrs class on European economics. Talking about common trade, policies and regulations left me with 1 desire; getting a beer and some "chai" (tea) with my friends. We went to a couple bars and rambled about everything unrelated to econ. Drugs, sex, politics, vacationing. A trip to Amsterdam seems to be stirring in the mix.

Here's a pic of another student cuisine i created. I call it "Tuvak uno" b/c "Tuvak" stands for chicken and "uno" is the type of bread that I used. I made a cheese sauce by mixing cheese with some milk and topped everything with red pepper. Gotta eat spicy here!

And just to mention.....today is a bloggers unite day for green power!
